LOT LOCATIONS
- A security/damage deposit of between £200 or £500 [depending on occupancy and property] for the rental period is required in case of, for example, damage to the property or its contents. However, this will not limit your liability to the owner. The owner will account to you for this deposit and refund the balance due within one week after the end of the rental.
- The balance of the rental together with the security deposit is payable not less than eight weeks from the commencement of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date then the owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period will require full payment at the time of booking.
- In the event of a cancellation, refunds of amounts paid will be made if the owner is able to re-let the property and any expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refundable amount. It is therefore recommended that you arrange a comprehensive insurance policy; including cancellation cover and full cover for your party's personal belongings, public liability, etc. since these will not be covered by the owners insurance.
- The number of tenants must not at any time exceed those listed on the Booking Form. The ages of children under the age of 16 should be those as at the time of the tenancy. Consideration will be given to additional tenants provided this has been requested in writing prior to arrival. At no time will this be allowed to exceed that of the capacity of the property determined by the owner.
- You must agree to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the property and to leave it in a CLEAN AND TIDY condition at the end of the rental period. The owner reserves the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover any additional cleaning costs other than those that are considered reasonable. ALL RUBBISH must be removed and placed in the many containers in the locality. A charge of 8 euro per bag will be levied if left behind. If a barbecue is supplied then this must be left CLEAN and READY for the next tenant to use, a cleaning charge of 15 € will be levied if this is not carried out.
- The owner will not be liable for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool or for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions or strikes beyond their control. Further, the owner will not be liable for any loss, damage or inconvenienc caused or suffered by you if the property shall be destroyed or damaged before the start of your rental period and in such event will within seven days of notification to you REFUND to you ALL sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
- Under no circumstances will the owner's liability to you exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period.
- The owner of the property has read and agreed the contents of all advertisements placed either by them or on their behalf and will be solely responsible for any claim for misrepresentation or inaccurate description. The owner will receive payment of the total rental monies prior to your arrival and any refunds can only be made by them or with there full consent.
- All payments, deposit, final balance and damage/security deposit will be deemed to have been made to the owners. These payments will be passed on to the owners before the arrival of the tenant. The withholding of or deduction from the damage/security deposit will be the sole decision of the owner.
- The safety measure for swimming pools had to be put in place by 1 May 2004. The safety device must conform to the French standards, technical or building specifications.
