The Property

"Vue de Château" is a spacious, architect-designed family home with a heated swimming pool. It was built for the current owners in 2007 to an extremely high specification and will be let for the first time to holidaymakers in 2010 (for a limited period).

The house overlooks the gorgeous Dordogne countryside and has spectacular views of Château-de-Montfort, one of the most picturesque and photographed châteaux in the region.

"Vue de Château" is ideally located for guests wishing to visit the many sites and attractions in the area. The famous medieval market town of Sarlat is just 3kms away, the River Dordogne and valley are under 2kms away (where canoes and kayaks can be hired) and both the "Golf du Domaine de Rochebois" and Vitrac Tennis Club are less than 1km away.

    

The Accommodation

"Vue de Chateaux" has four spacious bedrooms and has been tastefully furnished with furniture from the UK. The kitchen, master bedroom and its superb en suite bathroom were all designed by a well-known local interior designer.

Downstairs
Lounge: tastefully furnished with 4 four sofas and a coffee table, the lounge is also equipped with a flat-screen television with UK satellite, a DVD player, an iPod docking station and a CD player. Use of a telephone and a Wi-Fi internet connection may be requested. From the lounge, three French windows open out directly onto the vast terraces and to the swimming pool. Two additional French windows open out to the front of the property where there is a large parking area.
Terrace: at one end of the lounge, a sliding glass door leads out to a covered terrace where you can relax in the shade and admire the spectacular views of Château-de-Montfort.
Kitchen: the U-shaped kitchen with breakfast bar has a total of six French windows, with views of Château-de-Montfort, the terrace, the pool area and the grounds. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a Sholts oven & microwave, a Liebherr double fridge with freezer & ice-maker and a temperature-controlled wine & drinks fridge with a glass door. Top-quality crockery and utensils are supplied for dining indoors and outdoors.
Utility room: equipped with a Whirlpool washing machine and tumble dryer.
Dining room: furnished with a dining table and comfortable dining chairs for eight people. The dining room window overlooks the terrace and swimming pool.
Bedroom 1: the master bedroom has air-conditioning, fitted wardrobes and is furnished with a queen-size double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. This bedroom also has an en suite bathroom with a bath, a walk-in wet room shower, two separate vanity units and a WC.
Cloakroom: with a WC and a hand basin.

Upstairs
Bedroom 2: has air-conditioning, fitted wardrobes and is furnished with a queen-size double bed and bedside tables with lamps. This bedroom also has an en suite shower room with a shower, a vanity unit and a WC.
Bedroom 3: has air-conditioning, fitted wardrobes and is furnished with a queen-size double bed and bedside tables with lamps.
Bedroom 4: has air-conditioning, fitted wardrobes and is furnished with twin beds and bedside tables with lamps.
Bathroom: with bath.
Upstairs cloakroom: with a WC and a hand basin.

     

The Grounds

Extending over an acre, the delightful landscaped grounds are maintained weekly during the spring and summer months. Adjacent to the house is a large terrace with a garden table and chairs for eight people for outdoor dining, a Weber gas barbecue, sunloungers and a table tennis table.

The 20ft x 40ft heated swimming pool has a Roman end with steps for easy access into the water, particularly for children. On the surrounding pool terrace, there is also a solar-heated poolside shower.

  • All prices are per week from Saturday-to-Saturday (4pm to 10am) and are inclusive of water & electricity.
